The PMEAA program is an institutional program under the MINPMCESA umbrella, and follows on from the Cameroonian government's desire to promote agricultural entrepreneurship and its sector, considered as a source of employment and a strategic pillar for poverty reduction. In fact, it is a program that aims to develop production, processing and marketing activities for AGRICULTURAL and AGRI-FOOD products, through FINANCIAL AND NON-FINANCIAL SUPPORT for SMEs in rural areas.
The objectives of this state-led aid support program are to
- Reduce poverty
- Improve information for the sector's economic and institutional players in the targeted production basins through the ongoing production of technical and economic data on the main commodity chains.
- Improve access to credit for SMEs through a better match between the range of financial products on offer and their needs.
- Develop the management capabilities of SMEs by promoting local training and non-financial services Develop production, processing and marketing activities for agricultural products
